Food and Drink Federation Awards – Be the Best!

Does your company get noticed as the best in its field? Have you got an exceptional colleague deserving the limelight?

It's time to enter the Food and Drink Federation Awards 2015!

Entries are now open so don't miss the chance to show your customers and competitors that you are the best!

This prestigious award scheme is run by the industry, for the industry and judged by a panel of independent industry experts. You do not have to be an FDF member to enter and we are always delighted to see entries from new and growing companies.

Entry for the awards is free and can be done online or via downloadable Word document. The awards are open to companies and individuals right across the food and drink supply chain from primary producers and growers, manufacturers, retailers, food service, distributors and wholesale and hospitality. We also welcome entries from those working closely with our industry such as research, equipment manufacturers, local authorities, health professionals, schools and PR agencies.

We have two new exciting categories this year, Campaign of the Year and an individual category for the person who has done most to promote UK food and drink exports.

The closing date is 6pm on 27 February 2015. Nominees will be invited to join us for an exciting evening awards ceremony during the autumn.

Tips for a successful awards entry

Please complete the form fully. The judges only have the contents of the form on which to base their decision. Even if your project has already won awards they make their decisions on the form alone.

Provide evidence to support your claims – measureable outcomes give judges good information on which to assess your entry. If it is too soon to valuate, show how you have arrived at your projection.

Make your supporting evidence count. Supporting evidence can add to an entry but too much of the same thing eg lots of photos of the same event can detract.

Stick to the word counts where indicated.

Don't be put off by other entrants. Small businesses can be deterred from competing against the big companies, however when small firms enter, they have a really great track record of success Make your form tell a clear story. You don't need to employ a professional bid writer or marketer to do the job but make sure the author has a good knowledge of the project or individual.

If completing online, make sure you click the submit button when you have finished the form And don't forget to check back on the FDF website regularly for awards updates.
